Analog Transmitter has been designed to be used on Automatic Tank Level Gauge in order to provide current output proportional to level within the range 4 to 20 mAmp. In addition, it can also be provided 1 to 4 limit switch outputs adjustable to the required levels. Download Literature in pdf format.
DESIGN FEATURES
Linear current output over set tank level range.
Optional limit switches for independent level signals.
Flameproof enclosure certified by CMRI Dhanbad for use in gas groups IIA & IIB hazardous areas.
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
Analog Transmitter is mounted on the Tank Level Gauge. The gauge shaft drives a precision potentiometer in the Analog Transmitter linearly proportional to the tank level. A smooth voltage 24V DC is connected to the Analog Transmitter from a power supply unit situated locally or remotely. When the tank level is at zero, the current output is 4 mAmp & when the tank level is at the maximum set in the range, current output is 20 mAmp. The receiving instrument converts the signal into analog or digital readout. The current output of 4 to 20 mAmp can be set over any tank level range with the help of range selector provided in the circuit.
Limit switches can be provided in the Analog Transmitter. These microswitches are actuated by cams at thank high or low levels, & can be set anywhere in the range of the Analog Transmitter. Limit switches are wired separately & can be used for remote indication, raising alarms, valve control, etc.
